Full legal name: Benjamin Lou Bell (15 letters).
He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2036
His father was U. S. Marine Major William Bell, and a CIEX astronaut, who died in the 2042 Lunalpha Disaster, although fellow CIEX astronaut Chen Mengsei said he tried rescue him.
When Ben was 6, at his father's funeral at Arlington Cemetery, he tried to give the hero of the Lunalpha Disaster, Chen Mengsei, his father's tri-folded flag.
He went to college on the Marines. In 2061 he was a 1st LT in the USMC, and became a Captain in 2063.
He was an invited guest at the Inauguration Ball for President Mengsei. It was later learned that the new Chief of Staff Wes Orman had invited Ben to the Inauguration Ball, and that Mengsei had not requested it.
