She was born in Shanghai in 2024 to a Chinese father and an American mother (of Chinese heritage).
She stayed in Shanghai in a private school when her brother, Chen Mengsei (a U.S. Citizen), moved back to San Francisco to finish his schooling in the United States.
Both of her parents died in the 2040s.
She stayed very close with her brother, Chen Mengsei all of her life.
She became the center of controversy due to her rise in the Chinese People's Liberation Army while her brother, Chen Mengsei, was rising in American politics.
She came to the United States many times to visit her brother, Chen Mengsei, and tried to keep a low profile.
Over the years she fell in love with her brother's best friend, Scott Rose.
Though they never lived together permanently, they often would be together in virtual spaces.
Eventually she attainted the trust and friendship of Secret Service Director Angela Derasmo.
